Step 1 Greetings
Greet the students as usual.

Step 2 Presentation
Show some pictures and ask the students:What is he / she doing? Ask some students to answer. Then show some other pictures with a clock on them and ask:What was he / she doing at eight last night? Help them to answer:He / She was doing his / her homework. Ask them to practice
4、 the sentence pattern as many as possible.
Step 3 Practice
1a, Say:There was a rainstorm yesterday. Look at the pictures and tell me: Where was he / she at the time of the rainstorm? Show the pictures and ask some students to answer.
Step 4 Listening
1b, Show a short video about a TV report. The
5、n play the recording and ask the students to circle the correct responses. Ask some students to report their answers.
Step 5 Game
Practice in pairs. Suppose one student is a reporter and he / she is asking people what they were doing at the time of the rainstorm. Show the pictures in 1a again and

Step 6 Listening
2a, Show the pictures and ask the students to predict the order of them. Then play the recording for the students to listen and number the pictures. Then check the answers together.
