Step 1 Revision
1. Have a dictation of the new words learned in the last class. Review some main phrases we learned in the last class.

Step 3 Grammar
1. unless是連詞,意為“除非;如果不”,引導條件狀語從句,含有否定意義,相
當于if ... not 。
注意:unless引導條件
8、狀語從句時,如果主句是一般將來時,從句用一般現(xiàn)在時
表將來。如:
We’ll go to the concert unless it doesn’t rain.
2. as soon as是連詞詞組,引導時間狀語從句,意為“一……就……”。
as soon as引導的時間狀語從句中,若主句是一般將來時,從句用一般現(xiàn)在時表將來。如:
My brother will look for a job as soon as he leaves school.
3. so ... that表示“如此……以至于……”,常用于引導結(jié)果狀語從句。常見結(jié)構(gòu)為:“so +形容詞/副詞+ that
9、從句”或“so +形容詞+ a / an +單數(shù)名詞+ that從句”。如:
He was so excited that he couldn’t say a word.
It is so interesting a book that many people want to buy it.
Step 4 New words
Look at the big screen and learn the new words and expressions:
1. stepsister n. 繼姐(妹)
e.g. Jenny’s father remarried and

珍妮的父親再婚了,她將有一個繼妹。
2. prince n. 王子
e.g. The witch changed the prince into a frog. 巫婆將王子變成了一只青蛙。
3. fit v. 適合;合身
e.g. The new shoes don’t fit, so she gave them back.
新鞋子不太合適,因此她將它退回了。
4. couple n. 兩人;兩件事物
e.g. The new couple is moving in next

5. smile v. 笑;微笑
e.g. Ms. Smith smiles at all the children. 史密斯老師向所有孩子們微笑。
6. marry v. 結(jié)婚
作及物動詞時,后面必須跟賓語。常見錯誤表達方式:與某人結(jié)婚 marry with sb.
e.g. He is going to marry Jane in May. 他將于五月與簡結(jié)婚。
7. 常用詞組:get married (to sb.)
e.g. My aunt got married to a lawyer last year. 去
12、年我的姑姑嫁給了一位法官。
8. fall in love 愛上;喜歡上
e.g. They fell in love at first sight. 他們一見鐘情。
Step 5 Practice
Work on 4a: 1. Tell Ss to read the sentences in 4a and try to fill in the blanks with unless, as soon as, so…that.

Step 6 Telling stories
