The productivity of this rebuilt machine tool is higher and the cost of cutter is lower. T he principle straightness error of cutting square in work- pieces can be controlled by choosing a suitable pitch diameter of the planetary gear in the machine tools. Analytic calculations of the error and design of this train have been given for a real work- piece.
