Teaching Aims:
l To learn all noun clauses and help students judge different noun clauses
l To learn question words in noun clause.
l To learn how to use it as an empty subject.
Teaching Procedure:
Step One: Leading-in
Go over the differe
2、nt noun clauses such as subject clause, object clause, predictive clause, and appositive clause.
Step Two: question words in noun clause
Introduce all question words in noun clauses, such as what, which, who, whom, where, when, how, why, and whose.
That the earth is round is a fact.

主語從句
在復合句中作主句的主語。引導詞有連詞that (that 不可省),whether;代詞有who,what,which;副詞 when,where,how,why 等。
賓語從句
在復合句中作主句的賓語。 引導詞有連詞that (that ??墒÷?,whether,if;代詞有who,whose,what,wh
4、ich;副詞 when,where,how,why 等。
表語從句
在復合句中作主句的表語。引導詞有連詞that (that 不可省),whether;代詞有who,what,which;副詞 when,where,how,why 等。
同位語從句
在句中起同位語的作用。 一般放在名詞 fact,news,idea,promise,thought,suggestion等之后,用以說明或解釋前面的名詞。引導詞有連詞 that;少數情況下也可用連接副詞等。
Tell students to pay attention to the order of noun clauses and do

Ask students to do exercises on page 28 & 29
More exercises about subject clause, object clause and appositive clause
Step Three: it as preparatory subject
Introduce when it is used as a preparatory subject.
