There be句型的一般過去時表示過去某地或某時存在某人或某物,其一般過去時態(tài)的陳述句由“there+was/were+主語+地點狀語+時間狀語”構(gòu)成。there was后接單數(shù)名詞;there were后接復(fù)數(shù)名詞
肯定句
There was a car under the tree a moment ago.
There were two foreign teachers in our school last year.
否定式
There be句型一般過去時的否定式是在動詞was或were的后面加not,可縮寫為wasn’t或weren’t。

一般疑問式及其回答
There be句型一般過去時的一般疑問式是將動詞was或were放在there之前??隙ɑ卮鹩谩癥es, there was/were.;否定回答用“No, there wasn’t/ weren’t.”。

特殊疑問式及其回答
There be句型一般過去時的特殊疑問式由“疑問詞+was/were+there+地點狀語+時間狀語”構(gòu)成,有時地點狀語和時間狀語可省略。答語不能使用Yes或No,需視情況直接回答。
