One tactic involves where to display the goods. For example, stores place fruits and vegetables in the first section. They know that customers who buy the healthy food first will feel happy so that they will buy more junk food (垃圾食品) later in their trip.In department stores, the womens shoe section is generally next to the womens cosmetics (化妝品) section:while the shop assistant is going back to find the right size shoe, bored customers are likely to wander over and find some cosmetics they might want to try later. Besides, businesses seek to appeal to customers senses.Stores notice that the smell of baked goods encourages shopping,so they make their own bread each morning and then fan the bread smell into the store throughout the day.Music sells goods, too.Researchers in Britain found that when French music was played, sales of French wines went up. When it es to the selling of houses, businesses also use highly rewarding tactics. They find that customers make decisions in the first few seconds upon walking in the door, and turn it into a business opportunity.A California builder designed the structure of its houses smartly. When entering the house, the customer would see the Pacific Ocean through the windows, and then the pool through an open stairway leading to the lower level. The instant view of water on both levels helped sell these $10 million houses. 4.Why do stores usually display fruits and vegetables in the first section? D.A good first impression increases sales. When entering the house, the customer would see the Pacific Ocean through the windows, and then the pool through an open stairway leading to the lower level. The instant view of water on both levels helped sell these $ 10 million houses. 7.What is the main purpose of the passage? Its nervewracking trying to show your “best ”self to a perfect stranger. __1__ Thats not easy, but there are some ways to pull yourself together and feel more confident. Prepare solid talking points. Its always best to overprepare for possible questions by not only researching the pany and the person interviewing you, but also by preparing answers and practicing those responses. Review the skills and experiences requested in the job announcement and have two to three examples how you have demonstrated each one. __2__ Remember: Its a twoway street. This is conversation, not an interrogation(審問(wèn)).__3__ Remembering that this is a back and forth discussion, where you can—and should—ask questions as well as answer them, can help you feel more fortable. Just breathe. __4__ Your body will relax a lot. You want to avoid upper chest breathing, as it tends to just move your stress upward to your face. __5__ If you go into an interview picking apart your outfit or imperfect responses, youre only hurting your chances of ing off as calm and collected. Turn off your negative selftalk and then create a different selftalk message, like,“I am here to share the best of my ability and that is all I can really do.” Work it out. Putting in some gym time the morning of your interview can help you get rid of any nervous tension. Exercise helps calm your nervous system and tends to reduce the intensity of physical manifestations(表現(xiàn)形式)of stress such as restlessness. A.Stop the negative thoughts. B.Put your idea into practice. C.When faced with an interviewer, you may be nervous. D.Before you walk into your interview, take a few deep breaths. E.Youre trying to prove youre the one for the job and that you can handle stressful situations. F.Dont forget that youre not the only one being interviewed—youre also interviewing the organization. G.This will strengthen your answers and allow you to show how your experience is relevant to the job or organization for which youre interviewing. Review the skills and experiences requested in the job announcement and have two to three examples how you have demonstrated each one.和G的strengthen, show, experience, job, organization等可知選G。 This is conversation, not an interrogation(審問(wèn))和空后 Remembering that this is a back and forth discussion和題干F后not the only one等判斷選F。 4.D 根據(jù)空前的Just breathe.和空后的關(guān)鍵詞relax和D中的take a few deep breaths可判斷選D。 Turn off your negative selftalk and then create a different selftalk message和A中的stop the negative thoughts判斷選A。 Ⅲ. (xx海南省5月模擬) Someone asks me what on the earth happiness means?
